Hello Again Herricks Friends,
I am Zinnia Ratra, now I am sophomore at Herricks High School. I started this platform in 8th grade as a way to connect neighbors, share community news, and highlight opportunities that bring us closer together. Over time, it has grown into a space where we can celebrate our diversity, support one another, and encourage children and young people to get involved—whether through volunteer service, local initiatives, or even small jobs that benefit residents.
Over the past two years, I have been truly grateful for the support of our community. Thank you to everyone who has offered financial support for the Ronald McDonald Treats Program, welcomed me into your time and space to learn about community leadership and your vision, joined me in baking treats for families in need, and made efforts to donate samples for research on drinking water quality. These acts of generosity and kindness have shaped my understanding of what it means to be part of a caring, engaged community.
My passion for service and community engagement continues to guide this project. From spotlighting local events to organizing opportunities for youth involvement, I hope this site can inspire others to take part in making Herricks an even stronger, kinder, and more connected place.
This platform is a work in progress, and I welcome your ideas on how it can evolve into a true resource for everyone. Together, we can continue to build a community that not only supports one another but also uplifts the next generation of leaders.
Thank you for your continued support.

Hello Herricks Friends,
I am Zinnia Ratra, a rising freshman at Herricks High School. I created this platform to share community news, provide valuable resources, and build a network of support within the Herricks Community. My goal is to bring us closer together, offer opportunities for community members to share their thoughts, celebrate our diversity and create a platform for children to learn about opportunities to do volunteer services or do basic jobs for the residents. I am open to new ideas and thoughts on how this platform can become an active resource for everyone and improved as it develops overtime.
Thank you for your support!
